Email Add On To Track Opportunities

Overview

TopOPPS provides the ability to have emails be automatically added to the opportunity history and calendar events to the opportunity events and the CRM calendar. For many sales reps, they want to have their emails and calendar events be automatically associated with opportunities in the CRM so that they can access Opportunity details quickly without opening the application while sending the emails to prospect contacts.

The Problem

The current email add-on interface is cluttered, confusing, and lacks effective organization tools, resulting in users feeling overwhelmed and disengaged. Users require a more intuitive and user-friendly interface that can help them manage their deals efficiently while accessing the emails, it reduces the time for sales reps with quick access to the opportunity data.

The Process

Qualitative Interviews

To improve the design, gathering user feedback and understanding their pain points is crucial. Through user interviews, I collected valuable insights on areas needing improvement. Using this feedback, I created a comprehensive document identifying common pain points and areas for enhancement. The feedback played a crucial role in identifying opportunities for improvement and driving positive change for end-users.

Compititive Analysis

I have Identifying the Key competitors and evaluating their Featurs to determine their strengths and weaknesses helped us find some opportunity areas for our product.

Personas

Since the timeline for the project was very short I have collected the data quickly from the marketing team and understood some of the goals and challenges from the buyers personas. I also Interacted with various product experts and collected the data on user goals, expectations and challenges.

By creating a persona based on my research findings, I was able to gain a deeper understanding of our target audience and their needs and preferences

Ideation

Unfortunately, one of our main challenges is the lack of resources and time that we have day to day, as like most startups, we’re stretched quite thin! With this challenge, we often have to reiterate our designs in order to be achievable within time and technical constraints, while still providing more value to our users. We have listed down the possible Features to deliver as a first virsion.
Improve the Opportunity, Account and Contacts Details
Add capability for Tasks, Opportunity, Contact, Account, and Activity.
Provide a few predefined Templates.
Show All the activities and open Tasks.

Designs

After narrowing down the Scope and Features I started working on Designs. After having a go-ahead from CEO and Product head on the mockups, I began to conduct usability tests with the Sales Reps. Once I had confidence in the design, created my high fidelity mockups in Sketch and then imported them into Invision to allow the engineers to inspect the file and export the HTML and CSS code.

Development & Launch

During the handover process, the company was acquired, and the engineering team had to shift their focus and prioritize other features in order to fulfill customer commitments.
